He is also inventive and creative in many ways, making shop fittings, doing shopping cart and website work, designing events and keeping the ball rolling. Elephants are playful creatures and are good at cooking us soup when we need it, making sure we get enough to eat and drink.

Susie Oakes

Susie and Marion started working together in textiles over 25 years ago. Susie has amazing product knowledge and is a brilliant tailor. She produces most of our in-house sample garments.

Georgia Havekotte ...

Georgia is the wonderful face of Beautiful Silks video products. Georgia is a talented designer completing her final year of a fashion degree at RMIT. Georgia is also our resident dyer from time to time. This is a quote from Georgia... For my last semester I was accepted into a scholarship paid exchange program to Amsterdam Fashion Institute. While in Amsterdam, I won the opportunity to see my denim designs be produced and sold throughout Europe by a major fashion retailer. Prior to this, I studied Studio Textiles and Design at RMIT in 2006, where I specialised in Design (including Computer Aided Design) Screen Print, Machine Knitting and Weaving. Management comment....Georgia is now working for a label as a degisner.

Hannah French

Hannah completed her "new graduate program" with us in March 2011 and has moved on to Regional Arts Victoria. She was a joy to work with, and Hannah's DVD's and resources created whilst she was employed at Beautiful Silks are an ongoing reminder of her substantial contribution to our business.

Lizzie Bracegirdle

Another alumni of our new graduate program, Lizzie returned to the UK when her visa expired to start her Masters, her goal is to become a museum curator.
