Terms and Conditions of Sale

Unles you negotiate other terms and conditions of sale in writing signed by one of the partners of the business, you are bound by these terms when you buy from us.

Retail customers buy subject to the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law, even where supply is to places outside Australia. We do not have to refund or exchange unless the goods are faulty and in particular do not have to refund or exchange if you change your mind. We may (in our discretion) refund on products which are returned in new and resaleable condition. We will not refund on cut fabric unless it is faulty, and the fault could not have been discovered before the fabric was cut.

We do not build the cost of exchanging other people's goods into the prices we charge you, so if you change your mind we will not increase other people's prices for your convenience.

Our aim is to provide you with complete customer satisfaction. If, however, you wish to return non faulty goods, the following conditions apply in order to receive your refund:
•    We  are not required by law to exchange goods or to accept returns of Product which are not faulty except in the circumstances stated in the Australian Consumer Law. If you purchased an item from Beautiful Silks and it is determined that the product is faulty, not fit for the purpose intended (where you have communicated this to us in advance) or does not match the description you can return it to us, unless you have cut fabric.

You need to present your proof of purchase to be entitled to a refund, exchange or repair where applicable. We will assess the condition of all returned goods prior to offering a refund, exchange voucher or repair. This may result in the product being sent away for assessment. If the product is not faulty or has been damaged due to inappropriate use a refund, exchange or repair will be refused.

•    For quantities larger than retail quantities, we are not required to exchange goods or to accept returns of Product which are not faulty unless they do not match a sample or do not match a description.  Descriptions will be construed broadly, and whether or not an item matches a description may be the subject of expert evidence - it is usually not enough that the customer thinks that the goods are not what she expected.
