Last days
…..Roz Hawker found that teaching is teaching, except she’s teaching something she loves! Lots of 10 out of 10 scores for Roz, she is gentle and determined, rather like her stitching in fact
I have asked Roz to please return over summer – and to do a stitched apron workshop. Pure and natural dyeing is a different style, no additives are put into the water, the only things allowed to fix the plant dye colours are the pot, a bit of metal scrap, vinegar, that’s it!

Well done to all the presenters and a huge thanks to our volunteers Chloe, Ruby, Thea and Ashleigh, our tireless co-ordinators Pat Jones and Naomi Stevenson, those who travelled great distances and helped under weird circumstances, particularly Phil Fogle, and last but not least to the tireless and amazing clients of Elephant and his Supreme Bird Marion Hera Gorr without whom there would be no Beautiful Silks.

Task completed, good elephant, there’s a large tub of chocolate ice-cream waiting in the fridge.
