Day 2 and 3 whilst the main Aussie/Kiwi group were at Nagarohole, Nalda and Lindy were working teaching up to 100 women how to use silk waste. They had many challenges, including equipment going missing, rain falling in through the thatch and soaking the materials, and the sheer demand placed upon them by women anxious to make the most of the opportuntiy these workshops are presenting -
  
 
 
 
 
Above: Sushila, Abida and Sheila make a progress report...these dolls are the frst Mandya dolls, these collectable items will be available at Beautiful Silks by 12th December 2008. Each doll sold empowers the women toward the goal of their own home. These three women are part of the core group who will be invited to participate in next year's workshops.
After a week of hard teaching Nalda was exhausted, absolutely running on empty, she gave everything she had and still more....
But then when she saw what she had inspired....
She revived....
