Silk cocoons - degummed #FCOC these spin to make a textured bobbly yarn, also great in felt, the silk fibre has been boiled off and is soft, but highly textured. Also available in 20 colours in small packs at retail prices.

Silk Spaghetti textural lap -#FSPAG this silk creates fabulous background or surface texture. Feltmakers are enjoying it as a surface embellishment with interesting silk streak effects. Embroideres enjoy the landscape suggestions they are getting when the use this as a work surface.

 

    

 

Silk cocoon strippings #FSTRIP this is a sticky fibre that is used to make silk paper without chemicals, just steam press between baking paper and you can create a clean non chemical treated flat paper sheet.(see images below)

Silk rods #FSR (see images of these below) These can be pressed into surfaces and added to design of book jackets, collages etc they are a tough silk fibrous rod, and dye beautifully.

Long fibre, sericin filled fibrous silk #FSER - we colour these and use them in fun packs for texture, they are a tough texture and very strong, this is silk in a very raw state.

Pearl high lustre throwsters waste #FTH - this is long soft strands of fibre with high lustre.

Silk wig fibre #FWIG - long starnds of silk fibre that are used in weaving, this is excellent for repairing old silk net, and to add texture to silk paper as it is full of gum, we call it silk wig as it comes in curly lumps.

Silk 50% + fine wool 50% sliver #FSW This divine fibre mix felts very well and with the high mulberry silk content makes a light and high quality yarn or felt. Not superwashed. x
