Hankies can be used for backgrounds on embroidery, surface embellishment for felt and also stitched textile projects. Mixed packs can be ordered. Each hankie has been made from a stack of silk cocoons, which are then placed in hot water and hand stretched. The fibres are crosshatched and appear as a thin flat sheet of fibre wadding measuring approx 28cm square. 5gr is about 1 or 2 thin sheets. Multiple colours can be purchased and we will happily pack them for you in any combination your heart desires!
