Tours of textile outlets, boutiques and op-shops in the Northcote and Brunswick (click to download options) areas are also available through our associated business Meltours. Meltours also offers city tours which incorporate textile outlets and other treasures to be found in the CBD's hidden laneways with direct booking through their website. We tent to orgainse tours to accommodate interstate visitors to our various workshops to be held on either the Friday before or the Monday after. Our first four tours for 2011 are set for
OPTIONS: When you book your tour we do have flexible system to tailor the tour to your interests. Please mention your interest at the time you are considering a tour, there are many specialist shops in this area and you can visit paper suppliers, bead suppliers, books supplier and many others. Individual tours- or groups of up to 3 people, at an hourly rate of $60 per hour, 3 hour minimum. Our specialist guide can design a tour to your liking. We have 2 packages for if you wish to join a pre-arranged group tour. They are: · For groups of 4 – 7 people the tour cost is $120.00 per person. The cost includes a day transport ticket which you are given at the start of the tour and the tour can last for 4 hours if required by participants. Coffee is provided along the way or after the tour. · For groups of 8 - 12 people plus a lunch break if needed (cost of meal not included) and the cost of this tour is $100.00 per person and can last up to 5 hours because of the larger numbers. The cost includes a day transport ticket which you are given at the start of the tour. Coffee is provided along the way or after the tour.
Groups: Booking guidelines as above. We DO take waitlists if you are interested in joining a larger group. All tours are designed individually on consultation with the people making the booking. All tours are paid in full at the time of booking. All prices include GST. The service is only available by prior arrangement. We like to have at least 2 weeks notice to avoid dissappointment and to alow time to plan the best possible experience for you. We will however always try to accommodate you if you are making later bookings. Please email tours@beautifulsilks.com - we'll send you a paypal invoice for the deposit of $50, (not refundable) and you can pay the balance in cash on the day.
