Marion’s training CDs and DVDs are designed for people who can’t make it to one of Marion’s regular workshops, particularly if you’re outside Australia. They are a good foundation for people wishing to access Marion’s regular on-line tuition sessions. For high-school students and those interested in where silk comes from, we have produced "The Story of Silk" - but not just any story of silk. It's the story of our very own Beautiful Silk, not just a history of the product but a photo-documentary of how our product gets to you. From harvest and transport to through each stage of manufacture, Marion has recorded how fabric, yarn, and by-products such as noil are made, coloured, packed and checked. See a trailer: click here This is a file of about 8 MB and will take about 8 minutes to download on dial-up or 4 minutes on broadband. Just like a sport training film, you’ll have the advantage of being able to replay any tricky part of the disc to watch pieces of technique until you get them right. And just like a sport training film, these training-on-disc products show real students in real situations, just like the situations you’ll be in. It’s almost as if you were actually at the workshop. They include a “frequently asked questions” portion, and free subscription to Marion’s on-line “Ask Someone Who Knows” forum. If you’re proud of a finished piece of work which you’ve made after using one of the training-on-disc products, you can (subject to jury-vetting) display it in the Gallery on this website. We also offer do-it-yourself kits with full instructions
so that you can learn as you do your project. Our nuno-felting kit,
now shipping from our Brisbane warehouse, is featured at left and

They cover the same ground as Marion’s popular workshops, in full colour and with no sparing of any attention to detail. They are in English with no subtitles and are designed to run on Mac OS 10.2.8 or Windows XP 2000 or newer. The DVDs are formatted to be played in all regions.
