Knitted Hats - Thursday 2nd July

In this workshop participants will develop the skill to knit hats with a hat band that fits and keeps its shape. They will knit a hat in the style of their choice, beret, pill box, beanie or tam. Participants will learn how to knit a double knitted band using a circular needle. They will learn how to increase and decrease stitches to form the hat shape that they choose. They will learn how to knit a variety of stitches including two-coloured cabling and ‘Horizontal Stitch’, which forms the rim of a hat.

One day workshops - doors open at 9.30 for a 10am start.

Cost of workshops: $132.00 each workshop

Total cost includes refreshments. Please bring your own lunch.

Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Surprise Jacket

In this workshop, students will learn the skills and techniques involved in knitting an 'Elizabeth Zimmerman Surprise Jacket' from the outside to the centre. Students will learn to knit a garment as a single piece of fabric and learn how to graft. (Also know as Kitchener Stitch)

Students will complete a sampler jacket and be able to commence an adult sized Jacket in this 1 day workshop. Intermediate skill level required.
