Lynne Johnson loves knitting with beautiful yarns -many of the different silk yarns are among her favourites. She enjoys using them together in her pieces and she enjoys mixing them with equally beautiful wools, mohairs, alpacas and other such luxury yarns. Lynne has developed new techniques based on traditional knitting ideas to create excitingly colourful textured and interesting fabrics to use in wearable items and fashion accessories. Workshop Plan Mixing different yarns to produce different knitted fabrics and effects. Lynne will introduce one of her shawl designs that will enhance these effects. Learning stitches that enhance the beauty of the silk yarns and designing simple items that are enhanced by a variety of silk fabrics.
Lynne tells me .............I am planning to use strips of silk fabric to knit in with the yarns ........... have a few samples but any fabric and yarn off cuts -coloured dyed or plain - you have would be fun to experiment with too. Requirements:
