Woven from short silk fibres & broken cocoons (often upcycled from the premium silk industry), it features prominent “slubs” and variations in thickness.
This gives Matka Silk its distinct look and structural texture that beautifully resembles heavy linen or tweed, though without the high-gloss shine typical of standard silk
With a delicately textured hand fell, offering strong shape retention, rather than a fluid drape that will soften gracefully with every wear.
